Too Faced Lashgasm Mascara

My favorite makeup brand is either MAC or Too Faced. I haven't used a product of either that I didn't love! So I'm sure you know how I feel about today's product! Anyways, today I'm reviewing Too Faced "Lashgasm" mascara. First of all, the bush on this mascara is different than your typical brush. The bristles are shorter and sharper, and more strait. I love brushes like this! They hold the product well, and distribute it perfectly, making your lashes long and voluminous. The formula, is absolutely wonderful! As I said before, this mascara makes your lashes voluminous and long! It goes on easy and only takes one or two coats, depending on how much mascara you like too wear. My personal preference is 2 coats. The packaging is not my favorite, nor is the name, but that's a small price too pay for such a great product! My grade for Too Faced "Lashgasm" mascara is an A.

Laura Mercier- Silk Creme Foundation

This was actually the second foundation I ever tried in my whole entire lifetime! The first was Bare Minerals, but that's another story, for another day. Anyways, this foundation is still one of my favorites to date. You don't need that much to get a smooth, even application, and it's easily blended with fingers, or a brush. I think you can always tell when your using an expensive foundation, as opposed to a non-expensive one, so to me, the 42 dollar price tag, is just the price quality comes at. I can understand how that could be a downside for a lot of people though. Ulta sends out coupons almost every week, and Sephora sends out promo codes for ordering online a lot too, if that's an issue for you. Anyways, the foundation is only available in 8 shades, so there is not as many choices as there are with other foundations, but I was able to find a color that fit me perfectly, so I'm sure most other people probably can too. The packaging is a little boring, since it's just plain and brown, but it's Laura's signature style, and for that reason I like it. This foundation is full coverage, I am 100 percent certain almost anyone would agree with that. I don't have any acne or acne scaring, so I really can't judge how it would work for people looking for a foundation to cover that. (Not trying to be vein, just being honest) My skin tone is a little yellow in places and red in others and it does an awesome job of making it all one color. I honestly have no complaints. I give the Laura Mercier "Silk Creme Foundation" my second A+.

Bare Minerals-Mineral Veil vs. NYC Loose Translucent Powder

I wear a loose translucent powder  over my liquid foundation, everyday. so I'm always looking for a new powder too try. My favorite so far is Bare Mineral's "Mineral Veil." It goes on the brush well, doesnt make a big cloud in the air when you try to tap off the excess. It is sheer, and allows your foundation too show through, but yet makes it looked more finished, and polished. I simply can not say enough good things about it! I ran out a few weeks ago, and didn't have time to run to the nearest town with a Sephora and grab a new case, but in my town, I do have a Walmart, so I headed over there to find a temporary replacement. Much too my dismay, the only brand available with a  loose translucent powder was NYC. I decided too pick it up, dispite the brand and try to have an open mind. I can honestly tell you, it isn't that bad! It is in no way mineral veil. Like at all. But it does work. It does create that cloud in the air when you tap off the excess, which really bugs me, and it sometimes leaves my mouth feeling dry, because I always somehow get part of the cloud in my mouth. Lol! It also has a little bit of a weird smell, deffinetly not my favorite, but once you get it applied the smell goes away. So if your on a tight budget, I actually would reccomend this NYC powder, I did go ahead and get a new Mineral Veil, simply because I like it better, however, I think it would be a good product for a beginner. I give Mineral Veil an A and NYC loose translucent powder a B-.

MAC-"All That Glitters" Veluxe Pearl Eyeshadow

I think we all know that MAC is a well-known brand for a reason. They perpetually produce products with fantastic pigmentation, and great formulas. "All That Glitters" is no exception. And as you can see in the picture, I have already hit pan! This eyeshadow is the perfect lid color. Its a mix of gold and silver, but in my opinion it comes out with its final color being gold. My first one of these eyeshadows was palette size, and I ran out in about 2 months. I'm now on my second one and I've been using it everyday. This time I decided to go ahead and get the bigger-non-palette-size. This shade is highly pigmennted and it takes just a small amount to go a long way. My favorite look for this shadow is too put it on the lid with MAC's "sable" in the crease and "sketch" in the outer corner. I really have no complaints surrounding this eyeshadow, so I give it an A+.

Benefit Concealers-Erase Paste, Lemon-aid, and Boing

Benefit Cosmetics, is a line, that has a few great products, and a few not-so-great products, so whenever I try something new from them, I feel like it's a fifty fifty chance on if I will like it or not. So today I decided too do a review on their concealers. The first one is "Lemon-aid". This concealer is a yellow concealer, the idea behind this is too color correct redness. I personally don't have a lot of redness in my skin-tone, because it just doesn't run in my genes, but I have a little bit. For me, this doesn't work to color correct redness, it leaves my face with a weird yellow tint that I don't find very attractive, but what I absolutely love about it is that it works really well for two things. The first is brightening eyes. If you put it under your eyes too get rid of dark circles, not only does it do the job, but it leaves them looking refreshed and awake! The second thing it works well for is thin eyelids. I personally have very thin eyelids so all of my veins show through, and a lot of times, my eye-shadows come out with a purple tint, this color corrects my lids, so my eye-shadows aren't always purple all the time! The second concealer is "Erase Paste." I used this concealer for a really long time, and I actually really enjoy it, it covers what it needs too, lasts all day, and fits well with my skin-tone. The only downside I can find with this concealer is that its a little bit sticky. However, since I'm going to be putting powder over it anyways, why does that really matter? The final concealer for tonight's post is "Boing." Benefit Describes this as an industrial strength concealer. I'm not sure if it lives up too that, but I am a big fan. It's less sticky than erase paste, in fact its barely sticky at all. It also, lasts pretty well. I wear it under my eyes, almost everyday, and it's really good at getting rid of those under eye circles. If your one of the people like me, who like to use concealer as lipstick, or under lighter pigmented lip-glosses  this is the perfect concealer for you! It isn't sticky and doesn't feel weird on your lips like some other concealers do. Overall, I'm impressed by Benefit's concealers. I would, for sure, repurchase them. I give "Lemon-Aid" a B+, "Erase Paste" an A-, and "Boing"an A.

Too Faced-Natural Eye

I've always been a fan of Too Faced Eye-shadows  They're very pigmented and the colors are beautiful! I got this set on recommendation  and I am as happy as a clam! After three months of using, I've used the entire pan of "Silk Teddy", "Nude Beach", "Push-up", "Honey Pot" "Erotica," and over half of the pan of "Heaven." All of the colors are highly pigmented, and they all fit together beautifully. I personally like to mix "Silk Teddy" and "Nude Beach" together, to produce the prettiest lid color! The color Erotica, looks gorgeous, if used in the crease with Benefit's creme eye-shadow in the shade "Birthday Suit" on the lid. The color "Heaven" is a great under-brow and inner-corner hi-light  Also included in the set is a brush, and a set of cards explaining three different looks you can create with the set. I personally never use the brushes that come with sets because I prefer too use the one's I own and have purchased, but if you like your sets to come with them, that is one nice perk. The three cards describe looks that I didn't think seemed pretty, however, I never tried them out so I'm not positive on that one! My only problem with the set, is that I'm not a fan of "Sexspresso" or "Velvet Revolver." However if your more of a matte person than I am, it is a nice option too have. The set is in a small container  which is perfect for travel. Overall this is a wonderful set! I would deffenetly recommend it for those of you who are just starting too build your makeup collection. I think for a grade I would give it an A-. Its wonderful! But there's always room for improvement!
