Urban Decay Feminine Palette

Hey guys! I'm actually going to be reviewing a discontinued palette today. There has actually been a second version of this palette released now, but I like this version better. You can still get all these shades separately, and you may even be able to find this palette online. But I thought my opinions for this palette apply to all Urban Decay shadows, and so I decided to review the product, even if it is discontinued! So to start off, I love the packaging. It's so girly and cute! The purple and pink flower design make it fit it's name perfectly! Getting into the actual product, I have one major problem with too faced eye shadows. They have fallout problems. Your whole face ends up sparkly if your not careful. However, I use these shadows on top of crème eye shadows or paint pots and that helps solve the problem for me! "Stray Dog", "Midnight Cowboy" and "Dark Horse" are all more neutral daytime colors, and I think it's nice too include daytime colors. However, I'm not a fan of the daytime look they provided. I think it looks washed down, and doesn't seem pigmented. You definitely have to add something too it to make it stand out. Overall I do enjoy the product. and I do love the other three colors for special effects makeup and for whenever I feel like mixing up my routine. So I think there are some high points and some low points when it comes to this palette, therefore I give the Urban Decay Feminine Palette a B.

Maybelline Color Eye Tattoos "Bad to the Bronze" and "Edgy Emerald"

Hello! It's summer now! So I'll have much more time to post! Today I'm coming at you with my first ever drugstore product post!!!  By the way! Side note! How cute is this new background  I thought my carpet was getting a little old! Also, I recently added a poll and an option of subscribing to my blog with your email address, so make sure to answer the poll and subscribe! Anyways. The other day I picked these up on a whim and oh.my.gosh! They have become an everyday staple that I absolutely cannot live without. For only 8 dollars, these shadows are so pigmented you only need a tiny bit, as you can see in the swatches. They go on to my brushes super easily  They don't crease at all. The colors are absolutely stunning. They are true to color. They blend really easily. They have beautiful sparkles in them. They don't dry out easily  I just love every aspect of them. I have Bad to the Bronze, which is a brown color that I think looks good in the crease or all over the eye, and Edgy Emerald which looks good as under eye eyeliner and also underneath blue and green eye shadow when doing fun special effects makeup. Edgy emerald looks great as under eye eyeliner with my blue-green eyes because it makes them pop! The thing I really love about these is that they look so good underneath other eye  shadows. They make every eye shadow come out so much more pigmented then normal! I totally recommend these to anyone who wants to buy them and absolutely can not praise them enough! I give the Maybelline Color Eye Tattoo Creme shadows an A+

MAC's "Sketch" Velvet Eyeshadow

Hello Lovelies!! I haven't posted in a long time! I have been so so so busy with my musical! Today I'm coming at you with a review talking about MAC's sketch. This eye shadow is actually a purple eye shadow, but I wear it everyday. I wear all that glitters on my lid and nutmeg from my skylark palette in the crease and very obviously sketch in my outer corner! It's also really pretty when worn with sable, because it brings out the beautiful purple undertones in it.However you can also through it with some pinks and purples and make it a colorful night time look. I love the fact that its a versatile shade. I also love the color, its such a gorgeous purple brown, at first when looking at a swatch you would think its brown but then you realize it's purple. This color is a velvet finish witch means it goes on very soft and has a soft look to it, it also means that it it slightly more matte. I also enjoy MAC eye shadows because they don't have horrible fallout like Urban Decay and Too Faced Eye shadows do. I have no big complaints about the sketch, except for maybe the 11-15 dollar price tag. So I give MAC's "Sketch" an A.

Urban Decay Primer Potions in "Greed" and "Eden"

Hello Lovelies! Sorry I haven't posted in almost a week! Oh my goodness life has been crazy lately! Today I wanted to review two more tinted eye shadow primers. As I said in my review of Too Faced Shadow Insurance in "Candlelight" I'm not a huge colored eye primer fan. I just don't get the need for it. If I want a tinted primer I'd rather use a paint pot or a creme eye shadow. Anyways, note number two, I do have the old packaging on these and I do have deluxe samples instead of the full size. The new packaging is much better, with these once you get to a certain point, you have to cut them open to use the rest of the product. The new packaging does fix that problem. Okay getting into the actual product.Greed has a goldish all that glitters type of feel to it. Its a beautifully pigmented primer, as you can see in the picture (it's the one on the left.) Eden is more of a matte taupe type of shade. I like this one because it does give your shadows an extra bump, and makes the colors of them stand out more, because they're on a lighter base. All together these products have nice pigmentation and they make your shadows last all day. I'd give them both an A. Thanks for reading!

Benefit's Cream Eye Shadow in "RSVP"

  Hello Lovelies!

Today I realized I hadn't reviewed any eye shadows recently, and decided that needed to change! So this post is about Benefit's cream eye shadow in the shade "RSVP." First of all I must talk about the packaging. I'm a huge fan of birds on clothes and jewelry and makeup, so I love the lid of this product.  The clearness of the rest of the packaging makes it look high end, and also makes it easy to see which color your grabbing. The shade of this is a light campaign color. It's gorgeous to wear alone on your eyelids with some black eyeliner and a bold lip, and it's also great to wear with silver eye shadows in the crease. The consistency and pigmentation in the product is absolutely flawless. It goes on smooth, and as promised  does not crease. There is only one downside to the product. If you accidentally leave the cap off; it drys out within a day. This is why I wasn't able to swatch mine for you--I left the cap off for a day and it's gone. The good thing is that I had almost used the entire container. So I'd give this product an A. The formula is great, and the consistency and pigmentation are both spot on, I just wish, for forgetful people like myself, it didn't dry out as fast as it does. Thanks for reading!

Too Faced "Sun Bunny" Bronzer

Hey guys! With it finally warming up I thought I'd review a more summery product. So today's post is about Too Faced Cosmetics "Sun Bunny" bronzer. As you can see in the picture, Its a dual sided product with a darker shade and a lighter shade. Okay first of all. I love the packaging of Too Faced products because of the amazing mirror. It's a great size and quality. Getting into the actual product, I love the dual sided nature of the product. It makes it multi-functional. You can swirl the two together for a medium color, use the darker for a darker color, and the lighter for a lighter color. You can also make half of your brush the lighter color and half of it the darker too eliminate the need for blush and highlighter. The product itself is for sure welly pigmented. As I seem to say about every Too Faced product, it's super important too tap off the excess, because other wise, the product will be all over your face. That is the one thing I don't like about this brand. I wear this bronzer year round, the darker color in the summer and the lighter in the winter. I think it's the perfect bronzer to buy because of that feature. It can be used no matter what skin tone you are! I would for sure recommend this product too all of you first time bronzer wearers. I give Too Faced's "Sun Bunny" bronzer a B+ Because of the fall out. Thanks for reading!

MAC's "Myth"

Today I'm reviewing my favorite lip product of the moment. MAC's Myth. I read online that this is the color Andrea Russett wears and I knew I had to get it! It's a nude color that makes your lips look like they would if you put concealer on them but the best part is that it doesn't dry your lips out like concealer. It's my go-to shade of the moment and I wear it almost every single day, and so I would recomment it to all of you as the perfect everyday color especially if you have thin lips like I do. The formula for MAC's lipsticks is indescribable. It's smooth and silky and feels so much better than any other lip stick I've ever owned. I love it so very much! This Lipstick is a satin finish. Which I really do like. It's not too glittery, but at the same time it isn't matte. As you can see I very obviously love this product. I can't think of any needed changes that would make the product any better. In my opinion it is the perfect everyday product, and a must have in everyone's makeup collection. I give MAC's "Myth" an A+. Thanks  you so much for reading!

Stila Lip Glazes- Jolly, Black Cherry, Holly, Joy, Sugar Plum, Splendor and Jingle

Hey beauties! Today I'm reviewing a ton of products. 7 Stila Lip Glazes total!  I recently bought a set if these after the holidays and I have been using them non-stop. But since the price tag on these is 22 dollars a piece, I thought I'd post a review telling you what I think of each. So you won't waist your Jackson on a lip gloss that just isn't worth it. I'm going to preface this review by saying the formula of these lip glosses are extremely sticky. So if that's a make it or break it for you. This is not your product. Okay! Let's get into it!

My favorite of the batch is Joy. I'm almost out (as you can see in the picture). And I never finish lip glosses. It's a hot pink lip gloss that I sometimes wear by it's self and sometimes over MAC's St. Germain. All of these glosses have tons of glitter in them and this one is no exception. Black Cherry is my second favorite. It's a dark purple color and probably the least glitter filled of the six. I usually look horrible in red lips but Holly actually looks good on me. It is highly pigmented and looks like your wearing lipstick! I love the name Sugar Plum but the color not so much. For me it's basically the same as my natural lip color. Splendor is also the same way. So I don't see much of a point. Both Jingle and Jolly are more of clear glosses with colored glitter, I wear Jingle over nude lipsticks and Jolly over pink ones. I do love both, but I wouldn't repurchase them if I ran out. Overall I give Stila a B+ for their lip glazes. However, my opinion would for sure change if the formula was less sticky. Thanks for reading!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance "Candlelight"

I'm typically not a huge fan of colored eye primers. The ones I've had in the past haven't really added anything to my eye shadow, but lately I have been using this colored eye primer by Too Faced Cosmetics. I like this product a lot! It adds a gold glitter to your eye and give is a sheen like you would imagine of a candle, hence the name. I still don't think colored eye primers make that huge of a difference in an eyeshadow look, but I like this one more than all the others I have tried. I give this a B.

Urban Decay Naked Foundation

Urban Decay's naked line has deffinetly been successful. Ever since they first released their naked palette, the brand has grown in popularity. Now, three naked palettes later, they decided to expand the brand beyond just eyeshadow. Their newest addition-a foundation. Being a fan of the Naked palettes, I knew I had to buy this when I ran out of the foundation I was using. I bought this on the day after Christmas, and it's now the 10th of March, I've used the product almost every day, some times more than once a day, and I still have a few days worth of product left. So, if your looking for a product that will last, this is  great for you! It comes in quite a few shades, so I think that's always a good thing. If your foundation doesn't match your skin, they'res not much point in wearing it. I'm currently in shade 4.5, because I stay pretty tan, even in the winter. However, for most people I wouldn't suggest that as a good winter time shade. I'm pretty pleased with this product. It goes on well and offers great coverage. I think I would rate it medium-high on the coverage scale. I would not place it exactly at high, however. I did enjoy this product, but I don't think I will repurchase it. I think I'm more of a fan of cream foundations instead of liquid. They always seem to offer better coverage for me. I really enjoy the packaging on this product. It's sleek and looks expensive. I also enjoy the pump, it dispenses the currect amount of product, unlike a lot of other product pumps-the benefit stay don't stray pump is a great example. Overall I give the product a B+.

Elle and Blair's Skylark "Snowkissed Cashmere" Palette

Around Christmas time, I bought the new "Snowkissed Cashmere" Palette by Elle and Blair, from their new makeup line Skylark. First of all let's talk about the packaging. It's adorable! The inside is trendy and cute with it's chandelier pattern, and the outside looks elegant and classy with it's purple ribbon, and metallic print. Before I talk about the actual product, I want to discuss the brush. I almost never use brushes when they come with palettes, but I absolutely adore this brush. Not only do I use it with this palette, but with every other makeup look I use. The dual sided feature makes it handy, because you can pack and blend without using two different things. The brush has soft bristles and feels high quality. Getting in to the actual colors, let's start with lace.

Lace is a Creamy white shade, obviously the hi-light eye shadow in the group. I actually really like this color. It's great to wear under the brows, but I wouldn't suggest it for inner corners. The three other neutral colors are all perfect as well. Nutmeg as you can tell from how little I have left is my favorite of the palette. And Blitzen is a great dupe for MAC's all that glitters. All of the shades blend together nicely, and are extremely pigmented. The only main issue I had is the same that I seem to have with Too Faced eye shadows, they for some reason, are slightly messy. You must make sure to tap off any excess before using them unless you want a sparkly face. The color "Shiver" in my opinion, could use some work in the pigmentation area. Ember is okay but I'm not a huge fan of burgundy eye shadows. "Satin Sparks" is supposed to be a face hi-lighter  I honestly don't like hi-lighter on me. Whenever I wear it I always just look like I accidentally got a bunch of eye shadow on my face. However, I have used this as an eye shadow a few times and I really like it. Overall, for the first palette in a line, I think this a great product. I'm excited to see what else Elle and Blair have in store for us. I give this Palette a B.
